Homelessness is a HUGE issue, and UniSA invites you to join the fight by raising funds and swapping your warm bed for a cardboard box to help fight homelessness. Australia counts more than 116,000 homeless individuals each night of the year and the problem is growing. Vinnies is the first port of call for the desperate and with your help, they can continue to provide a hand up, not just a handout, to assist thousands of homeless people every night.
The UniSA Community Sleepout is going down on Friday 30 August 2019 at 7pm till the next morning at 6am. Head to UniSA Magill Campus, Amy Wheaton Building lawns, 12 Saint Bernards Road, Uni of SA, Magill, but first, register for your FREE tickets. Dinner, snacks and warm beverages will be provided throughout the night, thanks to generous food sponsors like Since I Met Harry and Phat Buddha Rolls. This event is open to both UniSA student and staff.
Once you've registered your attendance, set up your fundraising page, then spread the word and raise funds and awareness. You can fundraise as an individual, create a team or join an existing team. If you're not able to manage a sleepout, consider donating to the cause. Your donation can be made anonymously and it's tax-deductible. For more details and information, check the website.
