Hens Night
The phrase "hen's night" tends to conjure images of hot pink veils, cackling women and genital themed accessories, but it doesn't have to be this way. A hens night is a great opportunity to bond with your girlfriends, and if you're more blushing bride than Bridezilla, why not try one of these tamer alternatives?
High Tea
[ADVERT]A high tea is the ultimate girl's day out, so what could be more appropriate for your hens night? After all, there's nothing girlier than cupcakes, ribbon sandwiches and Earl Grey in fine china cups. High tea cafes are everywhere these days and many cafes and restaurants host afternoon tea events so if you can't find one, you're not looking hard enough.
Alternately, you could skip the cafe and have your own high tea at home. Click

Crafty Hens Night
Knitting is about as different from tequila shots and pole dancing as you can get, but that doesn't mean it's any less fun. If the bride to be is a crafter, or even if she's not, a night of getting creative gives guests a fun and relaxed experience, plus the opportunity to learn a new skill.
Whether you set up an activity like scrap booking in your own home or enrol in classes is up to you.
Candle making,
cake decorating,
scrapbooking... the only limit is your imagination.
Bogan Bingo
But what if you do want the drinking and the raunch, just not so public. Sound like an impossible request? I've got two words –
Bogan Bingo.
Bogan Bingo is, according to their website, an 'interactive comedy game show'. Basically, it's a bogan themed bingo night. The dress code encourages flannies and thongs, rock hits from the 80s and 90s play all night long, and air guitar championships take place between games. Bogan Bingo callers can come to you for hen's nights and other events.
Day Spa
You could spend too much money on obscenely named cocktails and wake up the next morning with a sore head, but doesn't spending your money on luxuriously treatments and waking up feeling refreshed sound so much better?
Mani's, pedi's and facials make up the itinerary at a day spa hens. You can go for the day, or book in at an overnight retreat and make a weekend of it. Most day spa's have special hen's night packages that include treats like champagne, chocolate, or extra lengthy massages. Bliss.
