Since our last visit to , the cafe has acquired a new owner. Sushi continues to be their main offerings and the menu of hot dishes has been expanded.

One of the new additions to the menu, the Teriyaki Chicken, Egg & Onion Rice is best described as a bit like Omurice (Omelette and Rice) in bowl form. The pieces of teriyaki chicken were cooked just right and the egg was light and fluffy. A drizzling of a soy sauce-based sauce imparted a delectable umami flavour to the dish. If you like to add a bit of spice to the dish, you can add the chilli oil provided at the cafe.

Another new addition to the menu, Fried Fish Curry on Rice had potatoes and carrots that still had a bit of bite to them. The spiciness level is mild enough for most palates. The fried fish that I chose as the main ingredient had succulent flesh, which was set off nicely by the crumb coating. It did not have a fishy taste, which was an indication of its freshness.

Somewhat resembling Katsudon, the chicken cutlet in the Fried Chicken, Egg & Onion Rice dish was of a generous size and was done as well as the fried fish. A great aspect for those ordering the dish for takeaway is that the fried chicken is packed separately so it remains crispy. There is a version which replaced the chicken with a pork cutlet.

's location opposite Woolworths makes it convenient for shoppers and workers at Mawson Lakes to pick up a meal.
