Wrong!I'm referring to Queen Victoria's knickers - the greatest secret in the British Empire which are, in all their blooming glory, now on public display at The Powerhouse Museum. Queen Victoria's secret is part of an amazing exhibition of more than 80 garments from the Victoria & Albert's extensive collection of underwear. The exhibition spans 350 years of lifting, squeezing, reducing, padding and concealing of our body bits - from corsets and petticoats, bras and boudoir to big bottom bustles.From the engineered iron corset of the 17th century through to the delicate satin uplifting Wonderbra, we celebrate the garments hidden beneath that can contradict and surprise, flatten and rise. Detailed items worn by some of the world's most glamorous women and unusual undergarments worn by men will capture your attention and imagination. So, whether you're into the sexy small string things, conical bras a la Madonna or, like me, the Bridget Jones specials, don't miss this exhibition which promises to titillate you from top to toe.
