My new favorite spots
When you ask someone in Sydney what the best clubs are people will quickly say Ivy, Hugos or Bungalow 8. I have to disagree with these options - these places are nice but too commercial and lack the uniqueness needed to really claim the title of the best club in Sydney.

I was recently on a month long vacation and tried out some really interesting new clubs.

Soda Factory

A friend introduced me to this hippy quirky club and I couldn't have been happier to discover it. It's a cute, cosy little place located in Surry Hills. Its décor screams vintage but the entire place poses a classy elegant vibe. The bar and the dancefloor are separate giving you the option to have a real conversation with the person or the people you have come out with.

The music wasn't my favourite on a Friday night, but the cheap hot dogs on offer won me over. Tuesday is the night to venture out here since you won't get 1$ dollar hot dog anywhere else. They also give out killer milkshake cocktails - with all this originality what's there not to love? Strangely though not enough people know about this gem and it's somehow Sydney's best kept secret.

Good God Club

What an odd little place. I heard about this club from the same friend who told me about Soda Factory but ithttps://www.facebook.com/Goodgod.Small.Club still surprised me. The club isn't like any other club I've been to in Sydney - as soon as you enter it feels like you are in a party cave. Smoke lights and crazy music surrounds you and it almost feels like a rave.

Thursday nights are R&B nights so expect the best music and a dance off. It's not the most tasteful place but it's got its own charm. The crowd can be a bit off depending on what you like, but you are sure to find a mix of everything. The night I was there I could have sworn there was someone of every nationality - which is quite interesting. You will either love this place or hate it, but the majority seems to be in love. To enjoy this place you need a few drinks in your system and the right attitude.

The Flinders Hotel

Sometimes you just want to go to a place where everyone knows your name, well, maybe that might not happen, but at this club you will feel like you have a connection with everyone there.

This is best for a fun friendly night out and has an easy going mellow vibe to it. There is nothing that makes you feel out of place - overdressed or undressed everything just feels right. If you just want a relaxed night out this should be on your list.

They serve delicious strawberry cocktails (a hit with the ladies) and you never know what can happen. It's a club full of possibilities and opportunities to meet interesting new people.

Wednesday nights are R&B nights and supposedly the best time to visit.
