Uncle Rob's Pizza states that their pizzas are guaranteed to be Adelaide's best pizzas. After driving past the sign on the wall of the restaurant a few times, we could not resist giving their pizzas a try. To our delight, the pizzas offered here was quite deserving of the restaurant's claim. Aside from a selection of "regular" and gourmet pizzas, Uncle Rob's Pizza also offers a few pasta and schnitzel dishes.

An ideal choice for those who like spicy food, the Mexican pizza had a delightful smoky taste from the salami with the slices of jalapeno chillies giving the dish a spicy hit that was not too intense. If you wish to add a salty element to the dish, you have the choice of having olives added to the pizza.

If you prefer something a bit milder, the Four Seasons pizza is a good choice. This pizza had a meaty texture coming from the mix of ham, salami and mushrooms with a bit of saltiness coming from the olives and anchovies. It also had a few chillies to give the pizza a slight spicy taste.

The prawns and oysters on their Seven Seas pizza were cooked perfectly with the anchovies giving a salty element to the dish. The optional garlic and onion provided additional layers of taste and texture to the pizza.

The generous amount of roasted chicken in their Chicken Gourmet pizza made it quite filling with the bacon rashers providing a bit of a smoky taste. The earthy taste of the artichokes was a good partner to the chicken with cracked pepper helping to bring out the taste of the ingredients. This is the pizza for you if you like yours fully loaded with ingredients.

As its name suggests, the Cheese Garlic pizza is a mix of a pizza and garlic bread, featuring garlic bread in the form of a pizza with a topping of garlic and cheese. The texture of the bread was not too chewy with just the right amount of garlicy flavour complemented nicely by the cheese. My father loves garlic and got them to prepare a plain garlic pizza for him.

I love pizza but am yet to find the ideal pizza on the Sunshine Coast that isn't mass-produced!
