Una Volta is a delightful but intimate restaurant serving up Italian family-style food. For $70 a head, you will receive a four-course set menu.

The menu which changes monthly is driven by seasonal produce and inspired Italian family-run trattorias. With advance notice, Nikki and her team can cater for a range of dietary requirements.

Don't worry if you are unfamiliar with Italian, as each course is presented the friendly waitress explains each dish and the only decision you need to make is what to drink and which dessert to have.

We had a lovely evening sampling foods and flavours that we were unfamiliar with, The gnocchi and the scottiglia (beef cheek and pork ribs) were unique taste sensations. The desserts (dolce) are the perfect finish to the evening and it was good to share one of each.

Una Volta is BYO ($10 corkage) and fully licensed serving up a range of cocktails, Hunter Valley and Italian wines. Bookings are recommended especially at the moment as they have limited seating and set dining times.
