The James Street fashion boutique 'French Rendez-Vous' will be transformed into a Parisian salon for one night only this August and all are welcome to come and enjoy this unique fusion of fashion and French culture.
This special event, entitled 'Un Soir au Salon', brings together 'French Rendez-Vous' owner and personal stylist, Virginie Delamare, leading couture fashion designer, Paul Hunt, and respected French linguist, Katrina Waugh, to talk all things French and fashion.
This unique event is inspired by the salons commonly associated with French literary and philosophical movements of the 17th and 18th centuries, which are still a part of French life carried on in urban settings in Paris. It is a great opportunity for Australians to immerse themselves in French culture and learn about all the latest Paris fashion trends.
During the relaxed evening, guests will enjoy champagne and canapés and will also have the chance to be personally styled by Virginie and Paul and try on some of the boutique's latest Paris labels: "Fashion should be fun. You don't have to be born in Paris to have Parisian style but there are some golden rules that we will reveal to help guests create their own irresistible je ne sais quoi style," Virginie said.
The soirée also provides a delightful opportunity for everyone to speak en français should they so desire.
Every guest attending French Rendez-Vous' 'Un Soir au Salon' will also receive a gift bag.
Un Soir au Salon' will be held at French Rendez-Vous on Friday 16 August, 2013 from 7pm – 9pm.
Bookings are required and the total cost is $45 per person; to make a booking call (07) 3254 3206 or go to www.mylinguafranca.com
