October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so what could be more appropriate than to become better informed while taking some much needed time out with friends at the Ultimate Women's Weekend ? This three-day women's lifestyle and wellbeing exhibition will inspire you to give your health program a kick-start and begin to feel beautiful as you care for yourself. There are more than eighty exhibits under the roof of the Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre, who have a fitness stall.

Free Workshops

Participate in one of the numerous free workshops, which on the first day included Breast Health, Essential Oils and their Benefits, Pilates (workouts) for Beginners, Cervical Health 101 and Newborn Essentials.

The Finding Balance & Creating Harmony workshop hosted by Earth Radiance was presented by Tammie Pike. Interactive tools gave the class an image revealing aspects of life and their levels of effectiveness. You could add your own categories to those provided on the 'Wheel of Life Check In' which included Fun, Hobbies and Recreation; Personal Growth; Self Worth / Self Care; and Finances. For signing up for newsletters you will receive the luscious Herbal Lip Balm, one of many pampering products.

The Zenon Fitness workshop Melt Fat with A-Plus Nutrition offered a personalised fitness lifestyle program encouraging you to stay in the program and there is re-assessment as you progress. You will observe how what you eat affects your body and make adjustments as you go. Education on nutrition, a food diary and recipes are part of your personal program.

A talk on cervical cancer gave attendees useful facts. Fifty percent of men and women contract the HPV virus from sexual intercourse. HPV can cause genital warts and become cancerous. Presented by the Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation, who recommend having regular tests.

Exhibits

SoBrave Breast Cancer Fundraiser Project displayed photos of colourfully painted cancer survivors. Many of these women suffered double mastectomies; now adorn next year's calendar with their beautiful bodies with reconstructed breasts. During the cancer awareness month it's the perfect time to give your support by buying the gorgeous calendar. On the stall is cancer survivor Rachelle who features in the calendar and will sign your copy on request.

Crazy Dog Photography were approached by Penny of Ultimate Women's Weekend to participate with their professional photography. This is your chance for a free studio photo, valued at $120. A folio of work can be viewed and covers rustic subjects such as sheep dog trials, country formals, trucks and tractors.

MyMidwives - personalised care for you and your baby after birth, gave away brochures, pens and post-it notes. Pregnancy care is taken a step further to helping new mums with the overwhelming experience of parenting a newborn.

Homewares included Tupperware, mood mist, salt lamps, gemstones and textiles. A small amount of costume jewellery was of good quality. A pair of shoes from Conf3ss will convert into several colours and styles plus they have stunning high fashion handbags.

The Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre gym and Pilates were among the fitness attractions.
