There are plenty of scary movies about evil spirits around, not least current horror flick The Conjuring 2, and that's fine if you like playing it safe. But if you're up to more a challenge, why not submerse yourself in a paranormal experience that might just truly test your mettle. Can you handle a night at one of Australia's most haunted venues? Why not dare your friends to the ultimate paranormal adventure and see if you've got the nerve to last the entire night
Now, we're not talking about any old venue here, or a sweet little granny in a rocking chair or a couple of dancing kids. No, Sir….. We're talking about the undisputed, most hair raising, ULTIMATE, scare-the-pants-off-you haunted venue you will find in anywhere in Australia.
We're talking about Pentridge Prison!
Have you got what it takes – because it doesn't get any scarier than this! You are literally going to spend an entire evening with the ghosts of some of Australia's most notorious criminals – sleeping in one of the ORIGINAL CELLS! Roommates include Chopper Reed, Squizzy Taylor, Ronald Ryan (the last man executed in Australia). Even Ned Kelly!
After the "Ghost Tour", enjoy a light supper of pizza and soft drink before embarking on a 3-hour paranormal investigation. This is where things get interesting. You are actually going to be calling out the spirits of inmates past. You'll be taken to the gallows, the wet cells, the condemned cells, the exercise yard and the burial ground. Organisers describe the paranormal activity as "Very high"!
Still here? Okay, well nightie night…. Now it's time to sleep. You'll be tucked up tight in one of the original, unrenovated cells, and that is when things will really go bump in the night. How many will still be there come morning?
Please note: There are no shower facilities.
The next Ultimate Pentridge Overnight Paranormal Investigation is being held on August 27th to August 28th 2016 from 7.30pm to 7.30am the following morning. Following that, the next date is Saturday 10th September, with future dates yet to be released.
You will need to bring a torch and sleeping bag, very warm clothes and some snacks and drinks (no alcohol allowed).
This is an adult only event and groups are restricted to a maximum of 15 guests. Tickets for this event are $184 and include tours, paranormal investigation, use of an inflatable mattress and supper of pizza and soft drink.
