We all love a good piece of French Toast on occasion and if the anticipation of bread dipped in egg and browned to perfection wasn't mouth watering enough, here we have a twist on this classic recipe. This is the mother of all French Toast recipes and we like to call it: The Ultimate French Toast Recipe.

Now don't let the name scare you away, this is by far the easiest, tastiest, calorie decadent creation that should be enjoyed by everyone at least once in their lives ... or once in three months.

The ingredients to serve a family of 4:

4 x free range eggs
to 1 cup x full cream milk (go all out, there is no holding back, if you cannot have milk use a substitute)
1 ½ x teaspoons of cinnamon
2 pinches of salt
x block of Lindt Milk Chocolate
4 x slices of Choc-Chip French Brioche (this can be bought at Woolworths for roughly $6)

Time frame – 30-40 minutes for entire serving for family.

Step 1: First step is to heat up the chocolate so it is melted. This can be done in a small pan over the stove, or in the microwave. Take half a block of the Lindt and place this in a pan over the stove top and heat and stir till completely melted. Take off stove and leave to the side.

If you are using a microwave start with 2 minutes on high and work your way from there. Once melted completely, leave to one side.

Step 2: In a new mixing bowl crack the eggs, add the salt and the cinnamon and begin to whisk. Slowly add in the milk as you go, ensure that you use the milk until you have the consistency just slightly thicker than that of a crepe mixture. Here is where your addition of milk can vary from ½ a cup to 1 cup.

Step 3: Heat up a frying pan and once hot, melt some butter to get the show on the road.

Step 4: Take your Choc-Chip French Brioche and dip this into your egg mixture so as to coat on the entire slice.

Step 5: Once covered take your slice of brioche and place it in the frying pan. Cook on each side until golden brown then lay to rest on some paper towel. This may vary between 2 -3 minutes on each side. Repeat this for all slices.

Once all the mixture is finished and your French Toast is made serve on plate, drizzle the milk chocolate and add fruit as you like. This recipe is great with strawberries, raspberries or bananas. If you are feeling extra indulgent, why not add a crispy slice of bacon for a salty mix, or a dollop of vanilla bean ice-cream.

This is a great treat for the kids for their birthdays, valentines day for couples, as well as Mothers Day and Father's Day breakfast. It is sure to win hearts all around. What are you waiting for? Give it a go.

Merci Beaucoup.

PS: Kids this will win you brownie points with mum on Mother's Day and dad on Father's Day.

My only tip is to strain (yes, strain) your egg, milk/cream mixture.
This gets out the lumpy white bits of egg and the toast is then a uniform yellow.
