I was challenged to write down my bucket list for Brisbane residents and here is the list of activities I came up with:

1. Abseil off the Kangaroo Point cliffs
2. Admire the view from the Wheel of Brisbane
3. Attempt one of the many Brisbane food challenges
4. Attend a dawn service at the ANZAC Square War Memorial
5. Attend one of the multi-cultural festivals
6. Be inspired by some of the amazing art on display at QAGOMA
7. Buy some fresh fruit and vegetables at the Jan Power markets
8. Buy something hand made at a BrisStyle Indie Markets
9. Catch the City Cat from either end and guess who owns all the riverfront properties
10. Climb all of the Glasshouse Mountains
11. Cuddle a koala at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
12. Cycle along the boardwalks in a loop around the city
13. Do some family research at The State Library of Queensland (take a USB stick to save what you find) or the Queensland State Archives
14. Download the Brisbane's Visual Arts Guide app (BNE ART)
15. Dress up in costume for Comic Con
16. Eat a steak with the works at The Breakfast Creek Hotel
17. Eat an ice cream and hot dog at the Brisbane Ekka
18. Eat fish and chips on Bribie Island
19. Eat yum cha in China Town
20. Enjoy looking at the old brick phones at the Telstra Museum in Clayfield
21. Enter a short film in the West End Film Festival
22. Explore the city with via geocaching
23. Feed wild dolphins at Tangalooma Island Resort
24. Get your nerd on at the Sciencentre
25. Go bare foot bowling and enjoy a ten-dollar meal afterwards
26. Go bird watching with a Birds Queensland flyer
27. Go for a bushwalk in Lamington National Park
28. Go glamping
29. Go kayaking up the Brisbane River with Riverlife
30. Go on a backstage tour of QPAC
31. Go on a Bridge Climb
32. Go on a ghost tour at Bogga Road Gaol
33. Go on a XXXX brewery tour
34. Go to a live game of the State of Origin dressed up in the appropriate colours
35. Go to Australia Zoo and buy something khaki
36. Go to the drive in at Yatala
37. Go to the Eat Street Markets and work out your ideal meal from all the food trucks. Take an esky so you can take the leftovers home.
38. Go whale watching and take some photos
39. Have a BBQ and invite all your friends around to celebrate life.
40. Have a dip at the Spring Hill Baths
41. Have a picnic at New Farm Park but do get there early so you have a good spot
42. Have a slice of cake from The Welsh Lady
43. Have a surfing lesson at one of the great nearby beaches
44. Join one of the many great Meetup groups in Brisbane
45. Learn how politics work at Queensland Parliament
46. Learn how to calm down at The Relaxation Centre
47. Pretend to be a tourist and travel on the double decker Explorer red bus
48. Read a book by a Brisbane author, such as Nick Earls, Benjamin Law or Judith Wright
49. See a free show at the Brisbane Powerhouse
50. See the ship wrecks on Moreton Island
51. See your favourite band play at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre
52. Sign up to one of the 5km fun runs
53. Snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef and see the amazing fish
54. Spend a day on the weekend getting lost in the hidden lanes of Brisbane
55. Take a Brisbane Greeters tour
56. Take a class at the Brisbane Institute of Art
57. Take a hot air balloon at the crack of dawn
58. Take a photo of all your friends in front of the BRISBANE sign at South Bank
59. Take a photography class and wander around the city taking photos of all the iconic buildings.
60. Take a tour to the top of the Brisbane City Hall
61. Taste the wine at Sirromet Winery with a picnic lunch on the lawns
62. Visit the parkour park and pretend you are a stunt double
63. Visit the Queensland Police Museum
64. Visit the Redlands IndigiScapes Centre
65. Visit the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium and wonder at the stars
66. Volunteer at one of the many great charities in your spare time
67. Walk along the beach at North Stradbroke Island
68. Walk the Aboriginal Art Trail at Mt Cootha
69. Wander around Roma Street Parklands and stop somewhere for lunch
70. Wander through Paddington or the Wooloongabba antique shops
71. Watch a movie at Schonell Theatre and then eat one of the A-Z pizzas next door.
72. Watch an old movie at an outdoor cinema (take a blanket, pillows and warm jumper)
73. Watch turtles hatch at Mon Repos, Queensland
74. Wear a watermelon on your head and watch the cricket at the Gabba
75. Write a letter to TAFE Queensland to bring back their Adult Community Education short courses
