Impromptu adventuring, exploring our backyard and then putting pen to paper, hoping to entice you to try one, if not all, of our escapades, is my true reward!
Ubuntu - "a quality that includes the essential human virtues, compassion and humanity"
Essence of Africa!
Ubuntu is an accomplished group of 18 to 20 year old singers, musicians and dancers from Uganda and Kenya, who were once part of the world-renowned African Children's Choir (ACC). Most of them have just graduated from high school through the sponsorship they received from the African Children's Choir and display self-assurance of people twice their age, to fulfil their promise of making a difference in their communities back home by going to university and beginning their journey to become Africa's future leaders. They are extremely happy to share their dreams and aspirations, hoping that their dreams will become a reality through this very inspirational tour across eastern Australia.
Drumming the rhythm
This group of artistic and talented youngsters are coming to the end of their Australian Tour but still have a few venues up their sleeves:-
Gold Coast between 15 and 22 June 2016, hosted by KwaYa Australia and Twin Towns Clubs and Resorts with concerts being held in Byron Bay and Tweed Heads and a Public Workshop in Palm Beach; and
Warwick, Crows Nest, Toowoomba and Dalby between 22 and 26 June 2016, hosted by the Women in Harmony Choir.
Makes you feel like dancing...
A highly recommended and worthwhile production to attend - one will be impressed with the energy, humility and determination expressed by these young people - all wishing to be influential in the future of their respective communities.
Tickets are available on
www.kwaya.org and as previous shows have been totally sold out, it would be advisable to get in quick smart - you won't be disappointed - a heartwarming, spectacular concert!
