The University of the Third Age, or U3A for short, provides members with affordable education and the opportunity to study and learn in a relaxed environment.

There are no age limits but the U3A is for people in their 'third age' - retired or semi-retired. For this reason, it attracts a lot of members aged 50 and over. However, there's no lower age membership.

Redlands U3A provides activities and classes covering a range of different subjects. The U3A approach to instruction is informal and study groups are attended by an experienced tutor. There are no prerequisites required to join classes and no exams or formal assessments of students.

U3A Redlands offers over 100 courses in recreational, academic, creative and IT activities. On Friday 17th of January, you have the opportunity to meet the tutors and discuss classes at the U3A Redlands Enrolment Day at the Redlands Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) between 9am and noon. RPAC is located at 2/16 Middle Street, Cleveland.

This will also be an opportunity to join U3A Redlands and renew your membership. Eftpos and credit card facilities will be available on the morning. The annual membership fee, from 1/1/2020 to 31/12/2020, is $30 for a Single and $55.00 for a Couple.

U3A is a boon to our local community and participants enjoy both the learning and the social interaction. There are programs to meet all levels of fitness from water aerobics and dancing to poetry appreciation and language classes.
