Ready, Steady, Brew-It
If you enjoy the odd amber adult beverage in your spare time then chances are you may have have thought about giving a try at brewing your own. The guys and girls at "U Brew It" have taken it upon themselves to give us mere mortals our very own chance at becoming beer brewing legends in the course of an afternoon.
Armed with a huge list of potential beers and ciders, ranging from clone recipes of well known brands through to some of their own concoctions, you pick the beverage of choice and they will provide you with the recipe and the ingredients to make your very own brew. The ultra helpful and friendly staff will guide you through the process of measuring out your malt, hops and other ingredients and cooking them all up in their stainless steel vats.
As you wander through the process of mixing up your future Pale Ale, Lager or Pilsner you can quench your thirst, as well as your curiosity as to the finished product, with plenty of beer on tap included in the experience. You can choose options as to how many bottles or cans you get to take home, as well as the range of price options for introductory lagers such as a Corona right through to luxury brews like a Hoegarden.
This really is an amazing trip out that offers anyone interested in the processes involved in brewing beer a great opportunity in a fun and helpful environment. With multiple options, gift vouchers available and catering for parties, it makes a great venue for birthday bashes, bucks parties or general group activities where everyone gets to come back and take home a souvenir at the end of the process. It even makes a great gift idea for someone who likes their craft beers.
All you need to do is turn up on the day and make your choice, once you are done then all that is left to do is book a time to come back and bottle up your ready-to-drink tipple. Originally started in Perth, Western Australia, this venture has now spread to almost every state of Australia and offers multiple venues in most of them. This writer attended the Keilor Park branch in Victoria and the staff were terrific and provided some good banter throughout the afternoon as well as making sure the fluids were flowing freely on tap and tasters of other brews offered regularly.
