Rose and Raspberry Iced Tea

This isn't just some brunch place; Typika is a one of a kind brekky/lunch cafe. Open seven days a week, the staff are kind and friendly, giving you the perfect suggestions for food combinations.

Although admittedly, I didn't get to try their 'artisan roasted coffee', the rose and raspberry iced tea was like no other, having just the right amount of sweetness. Refreshing at every sip.

My sisters and I shared three dishes between us:

Huevos rancheros: grilled chorizo and spiced tomato mix with a perfect runny egg, which tasted divine mixed together, along with soft feta and ciabatta toast.

Red fruit, orange and white chocolate hotcakes: Three hotcakes, fluffy and moist, with oven-roasted rhubarb and mixed berries, topped with a creamy orange and white chocolate custard.

Zucchini and haloumi fritters: Three zuchini and haloumi fritters, alongside rocket and roasted red capsicum with romesco sauce and minted yoghurt.

Although the serving sizes weren't overly large, the flavours are absolutely divine. The atmosphere is really relaxed, with funky lighting designs.

Not too expensive and close to UWA, Typika is a perfect location for a funky brekky or lunch date that is always busy and filled with kind-hearted people.

Your Comment
I love Typika - their beef eggs benedict is to die for, and the service is great too. Only letdown, and as a green, vege and fruit juice lover its a travesty, but their juices need work - they are full of pulp like they've been blended instead of juiced, and they mustn't have the combination of the flavours down pat as the kale juice was awfully bitter. Otherwise, love your review Aditi!
