Learn how to make a wicking bed in this hands-on workshop conducted by permaculturist and garden designer, Tracey Hall at Two Wells Community Garden. Book early via this link, to secure your place on Sunday, 3 March 2019 at 1pm (at time of writing this article there were only 9 places left). Cost is $25pp for the wicking bed workshop or there's the option of paying $40pp, which includes a ticket to the wicking bed workshop and a 6 month lease of a bed at Two Wells Community Garden.

Afternoon tea, water and instructional hand-outs will be provided to workshop participants, who will need to bring their own gloves, a spade, hat and folding chair.

As pictured, wicking beds are specifically designed to enable the plant to access water through capillary action (wicking), from a water reservoir at the base of the bed. Wicking beds are a great option if you tend to spend time away from your home and garden as plants can continuously and independently access the wicking bed's water reservoir.
