Sunny Coasters, please don't
falafel your chair, but I've discovered another magical cafe,
Two Point Oh - ideal for a coffee, a brunch or perhaps a cocktail or two in the evening and it's located in a very picturesque spot, overlooking the water. I just love the name,
Two Point Oh and of course, curiosity got the better of me - I just HAD to know where the name came from.
Two Point Oh refers to the owner's second venture i.e. this is their second cafe and hopefully is a new and improved version of the first one, which was possibly One Point
Oh?! A very innovative and creative name selection.
According to
Two Point Oh's website, they describe themselves as a Vegetarian Brunch Bar, but after chatting to one of the wait staff I found out that they do indeed open for tapas and cocktails on certain evenings. A very appealing combination especially with winter on its way!
Two Point Oh is just around the corner from the Sunshine Plaza, in Plaza Parade, managing quite successfully to improve the exterior of a new office block. The downside to this positioning is that visitors to
Two Point Oh will have to contend with office workers during the week, but on weekends one is guaranteed a free undercover parking spot and without any sort of preamble, a prime-spot table. And, would you know, this delightful new Cafe is doggy friendly too!
Hubby and I popped in for my caffeine fix on a Saturday morning and I was very impressed with the very contemporary comfy indoor seating arrangements as well as the bar-style outdoor seating, allowing groups to share a 'long table' type eating set-up.
Two Point Oh is also totally wheelchair accessible.
Two Point Oh's menu looks totally delectable, offering everything from
Ricotta Hotcakes to
Avo Bagels for breakfast;
Falafel Bowls to
Smoothie Bowls - a vegetarian's dream menu. Take a peek at the various food and drink temptations here, by clicking the relevant links -
Brunch Menu ; some tantalising
Tapas ; or some cheeky
Cocktails.
Two Point Oh is open every day of the week, with dinner being available on Thursday to Saturday evenings.
Two Point Oh's great location - probably one you've driven past umpteen times - is slightly away from the busyness of the esplanade and central hub of Maroochydore. A location close enough for a weekly catch-up with friends, a sunny spot for our furry family members to watch the world go by and a mouthwatering menu selection.
A return visit is definitely on the cards for us as I can't ignore the colourful, exciting menu on offer at
Two Point Oh, offering good, wholesome nourishment and fibre...and, of course, not to mention the cocktails!
Add
Two Point Oh to your 'to do' list - winter or summer you will enjoy the benefits of being so close to the main action of Maroochydore, but far enough away to guarantee a parking spot!
