While it's only been open since last December, is already creating quite the impression in Fairfield. Even more recently, they've launched a new menu, opened an in-house bakery, and announced plans to open an onsite coffee roastery later this year.

While it's already become a local favourite for breakfasts (especially on weekends), the new breakfast menu features dishes such as mushroom benedict and corn fritters. We popped in to suss out the brunch menu and have already firmly added it to our 'worth returning to' cafe list.

We tried a Melbourne staple, the smashed avocado. Here their 'Twisted Up Smashed Avocado' includes basil pesto, cherry tomato, crumbled feta and 2 poached eggs on toast , served with fresh lemon, of course (below).

We also tried their take on a classic Ruben with house made pickles, slow smoked beef brisket, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on toasted rye bread served with chips (pictured below).

Brunchers can also enjoy a cheeky cocktail as their menu includes a quirky selection of cocktails with a twist such as the Goldentini, a mix between an espresso martini and a chaitini or try the Dirty Mary, a take on a Bloody Mary but with a strip of bacon. The menu also includes a refeshing Watermelon Margarita (perfect for the summer months) as well as a variety of other tempting choices.

And if you're keen to come along with a group of friends, there's a smaller bites menu which includes a variety of shared-style dishes such as the truffled potato croquettes (below) as well as pulled beef tacos and more.

The new on-site bakery means they have a solid selection of cakes, gateaux and petits fours. And what goes better with some afternoon sweets than a great cup of coffee? Coffee lovers will swoon over their new on-site coffee roastery opening soon.

The roastery will visible from the main cafe giving diners a view of the roasting process and of course allowing them to fully enjoy the roasted coffee smell.

Co-owner Ulysses Vass has said that he's used the last six months of their 'soft opening' to assess operations and gradually introduce new ideas following feedback from customers. It's given them a better idea of what the locals are looking for and they've certainly provided.

They've also extended their opening hours to now include dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. is also available for hire for private events, offering an industrial warehouse space with large retractable windows, bare brick walls and polished concrete floors and plenty of cosy booth seating.
