An enjoyable and entertaining afternoon of song and friends

This winter, The Adelaide Gay and Lesbian Qwire and Quorum are coming together to present 'Two Choirs and a Palindrome' with special guest Rachael Leahcar. This exciting event will be held at the Church of The Trinity on Saturday 21 July from 3pm to 5pm.

All are welcome to come along and enjoy an entertaining afternoon of song and friendship.

The Adelaide Gay and Lesbian Qwire is a socially-inclusive community choir which is open to everyone regardless of gender or sexuality. The choir has been in existence for many years now and has performed numerous concerts around Adelaide, building up a significant repertoire of songs.

Quorum is a smaller choir which is very eclectic in its choice of music, ranging from older English pieces to pop. The choir has been in existence for about fifteen years and performs regularly to a loyal and appreciative audience.

The two choirs will present a selection of their songs separately and then come together and share the stage for a few combined favourites.

And of course, in between, there will also be the wonderfully talented (and Adelaide's own) Racheal Leahcar (the Palindrome in the title). Rachael, the young blind singer who finished third at the 2012 edition of the The Voice Australia, has graciously agreed to appear at this concert.

Racheal has had four albums in the ARIA charts, one of which reached as high as number 5 in the sales rankings. Apart from being a gifted singer, Racheal is also an excellent flautist and writes some of her own music. This is a great opportunity to see the famed Rachael perform as she has generously agreed to appear at this concert despite her busy schedule.

Don't miss Two Choirs and a Palindrome! Tickets are now on sale from Qwire members and will be available at the door. Tickets are priced just $10.00 (free for children 12 and under). Tea and coffee will be available during the interval for a Gold Coin donation (proceeds will go to the Guide Dogs Association).
