The Twin Rivers Bream Classic is staged annually on the Tambo, Nicholson and Mitchell Rivers, the scene of some of the best inland fishing in and around East Gippsland, and attracting between 500 and a 1000 keen anglers each year.

2017 marks the 21st anniversary for the Twin Rivers Classic and for the first time it will include a lure category as well as a number of children's events.

Registrations will be taken at the Black Stump Johnsonville and the Nicholson Hotel between 10 AM - 8 PM and at Bairnsdale Bait Supply between 9 AM and 5 Pm on Friday 14th July or you can register online at www.twinrivers.com.au

Competition kicks off at 6 AM on Saturday with weigh-in for the Catch and Release competitors at Johnsonville Jetty between 8 Am and 5 PM or Nicholson Jetty from 8 AM to 4 PM. Weigh-in for the Kept category is at Johnsonville Jetty from 4 PM to 6 PM.

It's another 6 AM start on Sunday with Catch and Release weigh-in at Johnsonville Jetty from 8 AM to 12 PM and Nicholson Jetty 8 AM to 11.30 AM. The last kept fish must be weighed-in at Johnsonville by 12.30 PM.

Throughout the day there will be live entertainment, prize giveaways, a bar and food trucks on site at Johnsonville.

The major prize for the event is a JEEP Renegade SUV with winners announced and prizes presented at Johnsonville Jetty on Sunday. Other prizes include an aluminium boat and outboard motor, plus Gippsland Lakes accommodation and chartered cruises.

There'll be a dinner and live entertainment at the Nicholson Hotel on Saturday night with courtesy buses running between Nicholson, Johnsonville and Swan Reach.
