Why go for something new when something old is better?
The Polka Dot Vintage Markets return on the evenings of 7th and 8th of February as a paradise for vintage lovers and promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Under the City of Stirling's Summerset Arts Festival, the market place rounds up buyers and sellers of quality vintage wares, cute collectables, vinyl records, retro clothing and accessories, jewellery, recycled and up-cycled products, homemade items and designer clothing.
Its location next to Perth's iconic Scarborough Beach makes it perfect for shopaholics to enjoy an evening under the stars as the markets take place from late afternoon, making it possible to catch breathtaking views of the sunset over the magnificent Indian Ocean.
Take your pick from a selection of food and drink that is available for purchase from mobile food vendors and nearby restaurants before rounding up your session of retail therapy with a free beach concert on the Saturday night to conclude the year's Summerset Arts Festival. Perth-originated alternative rock band Birds of Tokyo are set to take centre stage at the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre. Audiences can expect to be wowed as the band has taken home ARIA awards for Best Rock Album and Most Popular Australian Artist in previous years, with their latest album debuting at number 1 on the National ARIA Album Chart. The grand finale of the evening ends with a spectacular fireworks display at the beach alongside the Polka Dot Vintage Markets, which run until 9pm on both nights.
Parking is extremely limited and check ahead for road closures that will be in place. For more information about the event, visit the event website.
