Toe tapping in the twilight
The Gap Farmers' Market will see the year out on a great note with an awesome line up of live entertainment at its Christmas Twilight Market next Tuesday, December 23rd.
Market organisers are excited to announce the great music line-up for this market! Hannah Rosa (unearthed by Triple J), Phil Smith (country and blues singer-song writer) and duo, the Altais (emotive singer - song writers) will be performing, so bring friends and family along and enjoy chilling to the music.
Still looking for some special Christmas presents? This is the place to find them. With beautiful handmade items for sale, you're sure to find something to fill that stocking! Over 60 stores will participate in this Christmas market, selling fresh fruit and veg, meat, poultry, sweet treats and everything you'll need to make your Christmas spread special.
This will be a great family event, so why not throw in a picnic rug, treat yourself to some of the delicious food on offer (and maybe a mocktail) and relax and enjoy the fabulous music that promises to have your toes tapping in the twilight! The kids will enjoy the markets too, with face painting and farm animals to meet.
With some hot and muggy nights recently, you'll surely be lining up for some delicious, creamy, home-made coconut ice cream from one of the new stalls, 'Thai Garti'. And how about stocking up, in preparation for a cool and refreshing Mojito on Christmas Day? Grab a bottle of fresh lime cordial from Suncoast Limes and you'll be ready for the heat!
Not only will the Twilight Market help you find the Christmas spirit and get your last minute Christmas shopping sorted but the market will contribute generously to local charity groups: Karuna Hospice (provides palliative in-home care to cancer sufferers and their families), Ashgrove Meals on Wheels, and MICAH (supporting the homeless).
Come and join in the fun at The Gap Farmers' Market's last market for 2014 - the Christmas Twilight Market - at their now-permanent home at the Hilder Road State School.
