Sitting comfortably between the surf beach one side and the bay on the other,
Tween Waters Holiday Resort is a lovely place for a weekend away or a restful holiday break without breaking the bank.
The kids are well catered for with water slides around the 3 swimming pools, water serpents, a playground and a tennis court in addition to the games room.
Riding bikes and scooters is welcome on the mostly flat shared roadways with a special drivers license available for under 16s. The beach is a flat 2 minute walk out the side gate and there is also a large park with playground to kick a ball or throw around a frizbee.
Not too big that you feel you are swamped, and not too small that you feel like you have no privacy, the park offers a range of accommodation options from tent sites and caravan pads to cabins to suit all budgets and family sizes. There is a small shop on the premises and a well stocked service station 2 minutes walk down the road. A large Woolworths is a 5 minute drive away for your major supplies.
Merimbula is a favourite holiday spot of mine so finding somewhere that had easy access to the beach and Bay, without having to spend an arm and a leg was a nice surprise. This Big 4 affiliated holiday park is much better value than the other one on the other side of town, which is very expensive.
We stayed during the September school holidays and while there were quite a few families visiting from New South Wales and Victoria, the park wasn't overly busy and noise wasn't an issue at all.
Merimbula is approximately 450km from Sydney and 580km from Melbourne.
