The annual Tweed Fusion festival returns in October 2016 to celebrate the local art, food, wine, culture and the stunning natural environment of the Tweed Valley.

This year it has been extended from just one action packed weekend to a fabulous celebration taking place over an eight day period from 22nd October to 30th October. Tweed Fusion showcases the food, art and music that makes the Tweed Valley the preferred destination for 1.2 million visitors every year.

The festival is designed to give visitors and locals alike, a taste of the diversity, creativity and abundance on offer in the Tweed Valley. And it all comes with Wollumbin, Mount Warning and the lush green surroundings as a magnificent backdrop.



Meet local artists, travel to beautiful rural villages, enjoy world standard musical performances, eat organic food grown in our rich volcanic soils and cooked to perfection by talented chefs, and cruise on the Spirit of Wollumbin to a secret destination. These are just some of the treats in store for you during .

The program is as follows:

**Saturday 22nd October

Heavenly Sounds Concert ** 2pm. (DST)
Listen to harp and flute music in a picturesque church on Riverside Drive, Tumbulgum, followed by a High Tea at the House of Gabriel.
Cost: $50 all inclusive.



Taste the Tweed @ Tweed Fusion
Tasting plates ($6) and ($12) cooked by leading chefs.
Hastings Point venue, 4pm-10pm.
Bring a blanket or book a seat at a table. ($15 per seat)



Tyalgum Dance Spectacular in Tyalgum Hall.
Champion dance couples, introduced by Dancing with the Stars judge Mark Wilson.
Dinner Packages at Flutterbies.
Dinner 6pm, Show 8pm. (DST)

Sunday 23rd October

Operatic Afternoon
Soprano Yasmin Ismael and Tenor Michael Lapina will provide a fabulous concert. All profits will go to 'You Have a Friend', an organisation that supports the homeless with wholesome meals. This event will be held in the historic Tumbulgum Community Hall, Riverside Drive, Tumbulgum.
Cost: Adults $20 Children Free



Wednesday 26th October

To Market To Market
Join the buzz at the vibrant Murwillumbah Farmers Market at the Murwillumbah Showgrounds.
Jonathon Evans from Juju's will give a cooking demonstration using seasonal vegetables and produce at 9am. The market operates 7am-11am.



Thursday 27th October

**Taste the Tweed Tasting Tour
** Join Kerry Turner from Tweed Foodie Fest as you tour the Tweed Valley, enjoy coffee and fruit tastings and a gourmet lunch with a glass of wine.
Venues: Wirui Estate, Potagers Garden and Tropical Fruit World.
The bus leaves the Murwillumbah Visitors Centre at 11am and returns at 3.30pm. (DST)
Cost $100 all inclusive.



Friday 28th October

Tweed Fusion Cultural Day Out
This event is hosted by Anne Duke, the Project Director of Tweed Fusion. The day begins with morning tea and a tour of the Margaret Olley Art Centre at the Tweed Regional Gallery followed by lunch at the home and studio of sculptor, Marie-France Rose and then on to the Caldera Art Gallery .
Meet at the Art Gallery Café at 10.45am and return to the Gallery at 3.45pm. Cost: $75

Saturday 29th October

Tyalgum Spring Fair Incorporating the Tweed Fusion Creative Trail
Venue: Tyalgum Village, 10am-4pm.
Live music, artisan stalls, creative workshops. Please check the website for more details closer to the date.

An Evening at the Gallery, Margaret Olley; Far From a Still Life
An exclusive tour with Meg Stewart, author of the book, Margaret Olley, Far from a Still Life. Include canapés and drinks on arrival, a fabulous dinner and wine at the Gallery Café.
6.30pm-10pm.
Tweed Regional Art Gallery , Murwillumbah. Cost: $115 includes wine and local boutique beer.



Sunday 30th October

Sunday Country Picnic - Signature Event.
Board the Spirit of Wollumbin and cruise to a secret location.
Fabulous food and bubbles on boarding and wine with lunch.
Bus departs Kingscliff, adjacent Faulks Park at 11.30am, boat leaves from Tumbulgum opposite House of Gabriel at 12.15pm and returns approximately 3.45pm.
Cost: $95 inclusive.



**Various performances of Ali-Baba and the 40 Thieves
**Join the Murwillumbah Theatre Company for this fun performance. There's even a dancing camel.
