Tutti Frutti - Frozen Yogurt

It's more the norm to be reviewing restaurants and cafes, however on one of my jaunts to one of my haunts, Westfield Knox Shopping Centre I passed the very cheerful Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt bar and just had to stop. The vast colourful array of toppings caught my eye and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. On a cold morning, all that brightness was a sight for sore eyes.


Tutti Fruitti is not new, but it's new to me. It was new to the Knox Shopping Centre as well, as they have only been there a month or so. With 600 stores world-wide and 80 flavours, you could say they have been around! They make the yogurt fresh daily and best of all it's 98% fat free. The only damage that it will do to you that I need to warn you about, is to your wallet. Not because they're expensive but because of their self-serve concept, if you're not careful you will be overloading your yogurt tubs with all that deliciousness, telling yourself you're worth it and deserve it and because it's super low in fat. Here's the price indicator from them to give you a clue. It's around $2.60 per 100 grams for this yummy treat and for further examples, 115 grams will set you back $3, 190 grams $5 and 270 grams $7.



My favourite is the salted caramel and it tastes more like ice cream than it does yogurt. Topped with some crunchy granola (do I hear a Neil Diamond song coming on !!?) and some crunchy blanched almonds; heaven! I was back at Knox today so I headed for Tutti Frutti again for some yogurt for lunch. In fact I must have rabbited on about it so enthusiastically to the sales-woman at Myers, I sold her on it. She was there for lunch too.

Their web page is pretty fantastic as well, as when you hover over the flavours someone has taken the time to give you the nutritional value of every single flavour along with suggested toppings that would go with that flavour.
