Take off and Tut in Town
I love the energy of Dancing, any type of dancing thrills me. Tut is the new project from acclaimed contemporary dance outfit, Shaun Parker & Company. This type of urban dancing is interactive and one that on-street audiences can enjoy or participate in.
Tutting, a energetic new dance craze featuring highly intricate and rhythmic patterns of the hands, fingers and arms, which was inspired by the hieroglyphics drawn on the Ancient pyramids of King Tut. Its revival has stemmed from the underground dance scene alongside vogueing, thanks to online videos.
One hundred specially selected dancers have been chosen from an online callout and community workshops with Shaun Parker. They will perform Tut live at locations around the city. If you love dancing why not get involved! Tut Dancing can be performed as solo, duo or group works.
Apply now at www.shaunparkercompany.com to participate!
If you don't wish to participate, get up close and watch or follow the intricate details of the dance projected in real time on to industrial screens for the entire city to watch.
