Queensbridge Square, 1A Queensbridge St, Southbank is the place and Sunday 19 August 2018 from 10am to 3pm is the date and time. If you'd like to join a Bhangra flash mob, call or email on 0425 862 890 and Australiavichvasdepunjabi@gmail.com and register yourself with your details and location. Volunteers are also welcome.
It is hoped that 150 people will turn up in normal clothes, with turbans as a dress code for boys, and a suit for girls, for the Bhangra Flash Mob. If you don't know how to tie a turban, there'll be plenty of help around. All ages and backgrounds are welcome.
A choreographer will teach the steps for the Bhangra dance, and a complete video of choreography will be sent to you for practising at home. New teams and kids teams are welcome to perform individually too. There'll be Bhangara and Gidha performances all day and the flash mob will be performed by a larger group of professional Bhangra dancers. There'll be a turban fest and lots of other cultural activities on the day. This makes for a fun day out, even if you're not part of the flash mob, but just there to enjoy the festival.
