Tumble Circus @ FringeWorld
This is the story of how a Belfast boy (Ken Fanning, a.k.a the Michael Flatley of the air) and a Swedish girl (Tina Segner, complete with Allen keys and instruction manual) met in Dublin the 90's and fell in and out of love.

Tina Segner and Ken Fanning in Tumble Circus

In 1995 Ken began traveling with his juggling equipment on the continent, bumbling through Holland, down to France, and settling for a time in Spain. On his travels he met up with buskers, street performers and artists and became inspired with their work and their way of life.

He began believing he could live the way they did. In April of 1997 Ken met Tina Segner on Grafton Street in Dublin; they have been working together ever since.

Ken and Tina formed Tumble Circus in 1998 and moved to, and are now based out of Belfast. They believe in a commitment to their work and training, and this ideology has help them surpass their own goals of becoming street performers to now touring internationally as a professional street theatre company and circus performers.

Tumble Circus - This Is What We Do Now

Comedy circus with a theatrical narrative, the show is contemporary and flexible with a broad audience appeal. Through slap-stick acrobatics, hazardous aerial tricks and flying hula-hoops, Fanning and Segner take a hilarious and nostalgic look at their life together since their unlikely pairing over fifteen years ago.

This is What We do For a Living explores how relationships can fall apart, how they land on their feet, and how they survive.

Peeling back the canvas, Tumble Circus reveal the truly human side of the circus. No fanfare or sequins, quite simply the extraordinary skill and passion of two carnies on a life-long adventure.

Tumble Circus' show - This Is What We Do For A Living is on at The Lunar Circus Big Top, Rooftop Movies, James Street, Northbridge from 1st to the 16th February, 2013. Tickets are $17 to $23 and available on the FingeWorld website.
