Fifteen minutes away from Canberra lies a hidden gem that is absolutely magical – a world-class display of dazzling tulips and other spring flowers tucked in spectacular rows of garden beds. This 10 acre garden opens its doors to the public for this year's spring festival which surely will take your breath away – a serene walk along hundreds of blossom trees nestle between the flowers that will lead you to the cascading waterfall with classical music serenading in the background. There is also a 70 meter lookout for that panoramic view of the garden…perfect spot for good snaps.

There is an entry fee to the garden but check this out - free tea, instant coffee all day long, free sausage sandwich (or egg sandwich for non-meat eater) between 11:30-1:30pm daily, live bands and entertainment whilst the kids run around in open spaces and the whole family enjoying their picnic anywhere in the gardens. There is also an exhibit from Divine Glass Design showcasing their hand-made glass items and unique collection of jewellery, and back by popular demand, the Exquisite Wearable Art – direct from the Gorman Arts Centre.

The garden also has its famous marquee that sells a variety of yummy tucker including their famous Dutch pancakes served with ice cream and various toppings which are very popular so make sure to line up for this one coz they really sell like hotcakes :)

This is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to provide families with range of reliable child care options and offer specialised programs to help people in need. It's not just the whole family who can enjoy this magnificent garden.. your pooch deserves a treat as well. The garden has a special parade for them during the festival so check out their special theme days on how they can take part in the pooch party. The market has a variety of clothing and accessories that you can pick up on the day to embellish them. This is one special event that you don't want to miss.

The festival runs from Sept 14 - Oct 13, 2013. The garden is on Federal Highway and is visible on entry. Please check their website on how to get there, especially to those who don't have their own mode of transport.
