Bowral is blooming and coming alive this springtime
Spring is in the air! Tulip Time is back on this year in the beautiful Bowral region and it is celebrating its 54th festival. To celebrate they are aligning with the colour 'Yellow' and the theme of 'A Colourful Life'.
The Southern Highlands will be coming alive with this blooming event and will offer many colourful activities to keep the whole family entertained.
There will be many interactive experiences for everyone, including activities for the little darlings.
The Festival is not just about the wonderful and beautiful Tulips, it is also about food, wine and unlimited fun!
There will be a multitude of interactive experiences and plentiful entertainment such as Street Parade, Billy Cart Derby, Fun Run, Street Markets, Dogs Day Out, Daily Talks, Butterscotch Playground with the original yellow Wiggle Greg Page, Music in the Gardens with Rachael Leahcar and for the lovers of wine you cannot go past the Winemaker's Dinner...
There will also be Bowral Little Athletics Tulip Time Mile, which is a free event for school aged runners to participate in and compete in the second Tulip Time (Registrations are essential- check website).
Tulip Time Street Parade is where the famous Bong Bong Street comes alive with a colourful parade that entertains everyone of all ages. There will be marching bands, floats, fire engines, performers and classic cars...
If you think your little one has what it takes to be the next Mark Webber, then the Billy Cart Derby is a must. It certainly will be the ticket to fuel the need for speed! (Registrations are essential- check website).
And when you thought that the entertainment is almost complete, there is still more! There will be a Window Dressing Competition and Battle of the Bangers Rugby, Walkabout with the Reptiles and much more.
Do check the website for the full activity schedule and dates.
Markets will fill up the festival with many goodies ranging from soaps, lavender products, bamboo pillows, portraits and galleries, fresh food produce such as olives, berries, lemon myrtle and plenty more yummy produce, kids products, yoga products, wool, gift and collectables and much more!
Of course we cannot forget the delicious cafe stalls that will keep the taste buds satisfied with coffees and treats, pastas, gozleme's and many more.
