Tuggerah Lake Cycleway (and Walkway)

Tuggerah Lakes Cycleway is located in the coastal town of The Entrance, and this popular Cycleway can be enjoyed by walkers too!

The family-friendly track is a 24-kilometres return 'Looping the Lake' experience. You can start anywhere, and just cycle/walk your way around the tranquil and picturesque Tuggerah Lake.

If you want to continue the adventure or push your fitness, the Cycleway can be extended north to Magenta via across The Entrance Bridge.

The full Cycleway hugs Tuggerah Lake foreshore passing The Entrance, Long Jetty, Killarney Vale, Berkeley Vale, Chittaway Bay, crossing its way to Tuggerah passing a few more towns to Toukley then back to The Entrance.

Along the way, there are plenty of stops to be enjoyed and experienced, including parks, playgrounds, and picnic and barbecue areas. There also toilet facilities along the Cycleway.

This leisurely family ride (or walk) also passes the longest jetty in New South Wales, Long Jetty. Be sure to stop at this during sunset- the views are breathtaking!

The best place to start the Cycleway is from Memorial Park at The Entrance. Do note that the track is shared, stick to the left side.

Highlights on the Cycleway (and Walkway):

  • The Playgrounds

  • Saltwater Creek Reserve

  • BMX track for the kids
