The Tabulam & Templer Homes for the Aged (TTHA) Weihnachtsmarkt German Christmas Market returns to Bayswater on Sunday 25 November 2018.
This hugely popular one-day-only event attracts visitors from all around Melbourne and Victoria and features a wide range of Christmas gift ideas and tempting German food stalls.
Kicking off at 10am, all are welcome to come along and enjoy the many German-themed festivities.
There will be some 60 high-quality boutique stalls to leisurely peruse on site. Highlights include handcrafted Christmas decorations made by the ladies of the Templer Handcraft Group, plus exquisite candles, handmade German-style wooden gifts, handmade soaps and lotions, jewellery & accessories, specially designed pillows, Santa stockings, cards and craft items and delicious jams, chutneys and syrups.
Adding to the vibrant community atmosphere is an array of sweet and savoury German delights, including genuine German chocolates, freshly baked pretzels and bread, homemade cakes and pies, barista coffee and much more. There will also be a Biergarten and live music to enjoy.
For kids, there will be a dedicated entertainment area with a Basteln (craft stall), face painting, balloon artist and much more.
This is a great Christmas event for the whole family and there will also be an opportunity to participate in a huge Christmas raffle with many great prizes up for grabs.
The venue is Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Aged which caters specifically for older family members who have non-English speaking backgrounds. It is wonderful, therefore, that this event is not only cross-cultural but also cross-generational.
