A twilight Enviro Fayre where even dogs are welcome
Everyone is invited to EnviroBren's TrulyTwilight CrueltyFree EnviroFayre!
This will be a pleasant event with a chilled-out atmosphere. Similar to the last CrueltyFree EnviroFayre, but in a different time-frame to maximise our lovely up and coming October spring weather.
Twilight is a fabulous time for a market at this time of year - with the weather starting to get warmer and the rain ceasing, it is ideal to bring out the family and wander on down to this Cruelty Free Fayre!
You can check out the compassionate animal and environmental non-profit organisations while you are there.
Entry is by gold coin donation and this donation will go towards helping Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre provide round the clock care for the injured wildlife of Western Australia.
Once again, you can bring along your family, children and friends, and you can even bring your dog. However, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
There will be some excellent musical talent playing here and while listening to this, you will be able to sip on your kombucha or drinking your excellently made coffee.
Kombucha is supposedly very healthy and it is a variety of fermented, very slightly effervescent, sweetened black or green tea drink. It is one of the new super healthy drinks! The fermentation process used to make kombucha is important, as the SCOBY changes the polyphenols (these are compounds normally found in tea, fruits and vegetables) into other organic compounds.
There will be a great range of very delicious vegan food which is well worth trying out even if you are not a vegan or even a vegetarian. To read more about vegan foods, check out one of my articles here. This will give you some examples of how good vegan food can actually be!
It will be held at the Perth City Farm, 1 City Farm Place, East Perth and there is off street parking outside here for your convenience.
Come check out these amazingly diverse stallholders who will wow you with their delightful food, products and services.
About City Farm Perth City Farm is a non-profit community environmental centre. They provide space and opportunities to build community associates and they educate and help people to live sustainably. They are interested in the relationships between people and the environment, and society.
Perth City Farm by day
They started in 1994 on the site of a former scrap metal yard and battery recycling facility in East Perth, just next to the Claisebrook train station. Since then, they have grown and hold their famous farmer's markets every Saturday morning. Here they sell mainly organic and healthy foods, as well as organic products.
It is run by volunteers and now has a thriving community garden.
You can learn more about this organisation and how you can help by attending this function.
