Colour your life with the latest art exhibition in West End
True Colours art exhibition at Art and Design Precinct
The Art and Design Precinct in West End are about to open their second to last exhibition, True Colours, this Friday the 29th of August. This exhibition is going to be a very special event, with amazing art work and great music. The exhibition starts with opening night on Friday 29th August at 6pm and continues until the 17th September. Entry on opening night costs $10 and includes nibbles and a complementary drink. Further beverages are available at the bar. Entry to the gallery during other times is free, with opening hours being Tuesday until Friday 10am - 6pm and Weekends 10am-5pm.

True Colours sets out to celebrate the diversity of culture and lifestyle through art. Exhibitors have been encouraged to express their true selves through their work. Exhibits include a include collaborative piece by Michelle Bowden and Joshua Blake. This work, along with another by Michelle, is entered into a Sydney Art Prize.

Also exhibiting his work in True Colours is Darren Treblico from Solitude Art Gallery, who is showcasing his latest major work. Darren has established himself as one of the Sunshine Coast's most dynamic artists and his full range of work can be seen on his Website, Solitude Art Gallery.

Other artists with works on display in the exhibition include, Celia Hine, Trent Quinlan, Febe Zylstra, Peta Nicol, Vivienne Searle and Beverley Teske. In addition to the art, opening night will feature the very talented Naomi Sunderland and the lovely Amela with songs from her newly released CD which is featured on Triple J's Unearthed.

This will be a one week exhibition opening on the 19th of September when the gallery will celebrate the last two years of wonderful exhibits, artists and musicians who have been a part of the gallery. Artists may wish to attend the final artist networking afternoon on 21 September from 3:00pm. All artists welcome. Come along for the last time at the gallery and learn about what is happening with art in 2015.
