Australian Red Cross Lifeblood research shows that those who wear a blood donation bandage are seen to be generous, healthy and maybe more attractive. To boost the nation's blood stocks Australian Red Cross Lifeblood has launched their 'True Colours' campaign.
Existing and new donors that book a donation can snap up a limited-edition artwork bandage, designed by six Australian artists, before 14 November. The bandages are designed by the following artists:
Ken Done
David Booth
Eric Bridgeman
[
Francis Cannon
Vipoo Srivilasa
Kaylene Whiskey
Samantha Bartlett, Lifeblood's Marketing Director, "We discovered that a blood donation bandage highlights a blood donor's unseen or unknown positive traits, like their health and generosity. … our experiment found a person wearing a blood donation bandage was rated as significantly more generous compared with a person not wearing one."
Every 24 seconds, in Australia, a blood donation is needed. So, whether it's your 100th donation or your first make an appointment to donate and get your limited-edition bandage before 14 November.
