SWS Showcases Iconic Aussie Music at Turramurra

Turramurra Uniting Church hosts the 'True Blue Australian Music Concert' on Saturday 13 May, 2017. The performance will be by the community concert band, Sydney Wind Symphony, a not-for-profit instrumental band of music enthusiasts.

SWS is run wholly by volunteers and at this concert, you will not only enjoy iconic Aussie music, there will be a lamington and hot beverage waiting for you at interval. Now you cannot get more Aussie than a lamington right?

Come along and hear quintessentially Australian tunes in a program selected to share favourite wind ensemble classics as well as contemporary audience-friendly music.

The concert will feature arrangements of Australian folk tunes by Steven Capaldo; Grainger and Stanhope folk tunes, Bush Dance of Ralph (a toe-tapping crowd-pleaser) and Sarah Hopkin's ethereal music, which is both atmospheric and earthy. All in all a great night of instrumental entertainment Australian-style.
