We've been waiting for the fifth season of True Blood to come. But until now we didn't know exactly when.

Well, I am proud to announce that the Season 5 Premiere will air on Monday 11th of June.

In a world where vampires live amongst humans, where fairies and other supernatural things are real, humans still remain apprehensive about all these creatures. While they have been removed from the equation with the invention of 'V', a synthetic blood for vampires, Sookie Stackhouse, a barmaid from the little town of Bon Temps, Louisianna, finds herself in the middle of all these mysterious events. Having the ability to hear people's thoughts and learning more things about herself, she is the only one who has managed to find an open-mind about the vampires.

If you are fans and have all followed the four seasons of True Blood, you will remember how season four ended. For those who don't, here's a little reminder of season four finale.

The only thing I could think of after this final episode, was "Is Tara dead or will she be back in season five?" Of course everyone has asked themselves that.

Well, good news, season five is said to pick up right where it left off. Unfortunately there is no news about Tara. Though I have heard on various interviews with the stars, where they mentioned that almost all the crew was still there along with new castings. So, maybe Tara isn't dead after all? And who are the new people appearing in the show? We will all have to wait a couple more weeks to discover all this.

Although the previous seasons where not exactly the same as the books they are based on, Season five will apparently combine a lot of elements from different books of The Southern Vampire Mysteries, also known as The Sookie Stackhouse Novels.

Alexander Skarsgard has also stated in interviews that there will be flashbacks to when Eric turned Pam into a vampire.

A great thing about this show is that the writers and producers haven't stopped to the 'normal' vampires, werewolves and zombies we see in almost every vampire movie or series. They have introduced us to supernatural beings that most of us haven't heard of before, and i'm sure we can expect to see more of those. I hope to be surprised by these new supernatural beings as much as in the previous seasons.

Here's a little sneak peek on season 5 for those who can't wait.
