Imagine this... You have a sizable wad of cash in your back pocket, or perhaps a card full of credit screaming to be used; you're looking to blow it on one of the best burger experiences of your life.
Where, you ask, can I find a suitable venue to satiate my ravenous need for burger patties slathered in sauce, coated in cheese, and sandwiched between two toasted buns?
Truck Stop. Truck Stop Deluxe. That's where!
I remember the first time I heard of the place - It was from my sister's boyfriend.
He bigged it up so much that I believed it was too good to be true. Thankfully, I was wrong and he was right (It's a rare occasion when I admit that, folks!).
Truck Stop is amazing. And unfortunately, the owners know it too; they charge extortionate rates for the burgers. But in all honesty? It's actually worth it! All patties are made out of Australian premium beef and the portions are huge (Excluding the small fries... They skimp on potatoes unless you order large).
Plus, there's a wide variety of delicious burgers to choose from.
1. The $14.50 Jnr Mick which is in layman's terms simply a McDonald's' Big Mac rip off, without a second patty (I of course ask for the second patty!).
2. The $13.50 CB2 which is made up of two beef patties with American cheese, onion, pickles, and a swirl of both American mustard and tomato sauce.
3. Last but not least, the Colonel! This last burger which costs $12, consists of delicious buttermilk fried chicken, some cold-slaw, cheese, and of course a bun - you know fried chicken is always gonna' be good.
And, for the drinkers out there, don't worry! There's great cocktails and alcoholic milkshakes on the menu!
Oh, and did I mention they have for a dessert, waffles that sandwich Nutella parfait... Not only that... It's also drizzled in Nutella sauce?
I don't know about you, but when I heard that one I nearly died of shock and over-excitement.
Excluding the deliciousness of the food, and its premium-grade ingredients. Truck Stop Deluxe also offers more than just dinner and lunch; it is a great family-friendly restaurant where you can sit down for a meal, in a cosy environment.
Its decor is also pretty cool - They have a truck in the place!
Well, maybe it's not an operational truck... And I don't exactly know about its validity in terms of it legitimately being a vehicle, but, it looks cool alright!
Truck Stop is a great restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough. Sure I wish it wasn't so pricey, but trust me, when you take a bite of their burgers you totally understand why.
So if you like gigantic juicy burgers, and you have an appetite in need of quelling, keep Truck Stop Deluxe on your list. They're certain to satisfy you, and have you craving more (I spend most of my time day-dreaming of gobbling up the entire restaurant...)
P.s. if you like trucks? This is the place for you; You get to eat in a 'truck's trailer'!
