Trigg buzzes at weekends with families enjoying the beach, barbecues and a shaded playground.

The playground boasts a miniature hammock for littlies to kick back after a big session on – or under – the slides, swings and other equipment.

There is a large stretch of lawn equipped with barbecues, picnic tables and plenty of wheely bins. There are public toilets, showers and change rooms near the park.

Picnic under the Norfolk Pines

While the barbecue and playground area does not boast a sea view, it still manages to feel beachy courtesy of towering Norfolk pines.

The upmarket Trigg Island Café is nearby, if you want to grab a takeaway coffee to fuel your playground adventures.

For those who want exercise, there is a pram-friendly walking and cycling path along the foreshore.
