Living a Good Life.
This year's Tribeca Film Festival includes a heart-rushing film that was born in the Bronx.

Scene from the Movie BabyGirl-- The scene was shot on Fordham Road in the Bronx

Irish-born director, Macdara Vallely, living in the Bronx, captures the rhythmic streets, nearly every section of the Bronx, including our famous Fordham road, through the passionate story of a Puerto Rican family, young single mother and a teen daughter, as they encounter a love triangle. The Latin music used in the film will bring you back to your Latino root.

Macdara's story plot came from his No. 2 train ride one day while he witnessed a young man hitting on a teenage girl and while she didn't show any interest, he turned to her mother. Macdara left the scene wondering what kind of impact the situation had made in the relationship between the young mom and her daughter.

Both lead actors, Flaco Navaja and Yainis Ynoa, are native Bronxites. "You always hear of the drug dealings and all the bad stuff, but there's actually love stories here" Navaja says.

This film is appropriate for teenagers and up. It is 77 minute long. The film is in both English and Spanish with English subtitles.
