The Oceanic Art Society is hosting a at St. Matthias Church Hall on Saturday, 25th July, 2015.Running from 10am to 3pm, this special event will feature the participation of numerous collectors dealers and enthusiasts, offering tribal art, crafts and collectables from Africa, Indigenous Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region, Asia and the Americas.There will be a diverse range of items showcased; visitors can peruse and purchase wood, stone and bone carvings, masks, figurines, shields, bows & arrows, spears, bone and stone implements and utensils, pottery, jewellery, beadwork, tapestries, rugs, basketry, decorator pieces and more from every corner of the globe.Accompanying the assorted tribal art, crafts and collectables is a selection of comprehensive reference books on Anthropology and Indigenous Peoples and their Cultures, History, Religions and Traditions.This event is located just a short stroll from the famous Paddington Saturday Bazaar.If you wish to attend via public transport, buses 380, 378 and 333 from Bondi Junction, Central Station or Circular Quay are located close by.The Oceanic Art Society is a non-profit organisation and entry is a $2 donation.For more information on this event, please visit www.oceanicartsociety.org.au
