Holiday in bush with water views, without leaving the city
We've been lucky enough to have Easter and a long weekend at this magnificent house. It's located in the quiet suburb of Cottage Point, in the middle of the National Park.

For photos of the house, and availability, see here. It really does look exactly as the photos portray it.

The house sleeps 8, so it's great if you can share with another family (or 4 couples.)

The highlights of this house are the following:

1. Balcony with barbeque - we had bad weather but still ate outside most dinners, cooking on the deck. The kookaburras line up around dinner time, once they see you, turn the barbeque on.

2. You can supervise kids in the pool while you relax in the spa.

3. Everybody's favourite - there is a games room, with table soccer and tabletop Pacman, Space Invaders, Galaga etc - we had pre-dinner drinks and games each evening - and the kids had to wait for the adults to finish to get a turn! Fortunately there is also a Wii in the main house (though it does mean listening to Guitar Hero).

4. Cottage Point Inn and Cottage Point Kiosk (Wild Barra Curry review here) both a minute away if you don't want to cook.

5. Easy boat hire so you can find a deserted beach.

6. Views from the balcony are sensational - and we spent most of our time in the house up on the deck, while the kids were in the house - so a peaceful time for adults and children alike.

7. If you have to work during your stay, you can still get into town in about 40 mins.

8. You don't have to deal with the getting out of Sydney traffic. So departure on a Friday afternoon isn't unpleasant, and your holiday begins almost 40 mins after you leave home.

Both the kids and I adore this house, and even a year later, my son asks, without fail, when we drive up to Cottage Point, "When can we stay at number 2 again?"

Book now for summer, you won't be disappointed.
