Before you share a romantic dinner as per the usual Valentine's Day tradition, go for something totally different, instead of having a work out in the bedroom, why not try it outdoors? That is by means of a tree top adventure off-course!
Trees Adventure offers great tree top courses for all ages in the Dandenong Ranges at Glen Harrow Park. Each course is colour coded for the level of difficulty, from green all the way to black (Green, Blue, Red, Black), the steel ropes have a coloured lock so you know which course you're following. My gym workouts came in good stead through the majority of the black course and in the end I felt like I had conquered The Thousand Steps ten times over with a baby gorilla on my back.
The most thrilling experience from the whole park are the flying foxes, and it makes the climb to the platform worthwhile. Zipping through the trees and the wind hitting your face makes you wish that it could go on for a few kilometres. If you have a Go-Pro make sure you bring it to capture you soaring from tree to tree.
Before you begin your adventure, you'll have a briefing on how to use the equipment, and you'll also make your way through a small training course, so make sure you arrive at least half an hour before your allocated session to gear up and get started on time.
Forget about materialistic gifts, this will be a great present for your significant other, because it's memories like this that you'll remember for a life-time.
