'trEATS' at Carnival of Flowers 2021

By popular demand, 'trEATS' , the Toowoomba Region's Eats enticement, returns. Cafes, restaurants and pubs in and around Toowoomba will participate in luring diners with $10-$20 springtime specials. Only in the month of September, 36 venues invite you, since last year was so popular. Here are some of the fabulous deals in and around Toowoomba this Carnival of Flowers.

George Banks Rooftop Bar & Bistro

Spring wine platter laden with brie, salami, marinated olives, tomato relish, Lavosh crackers, sourdough bread and a dish of truffle butter. $18, a touch of posh.

GPO Bar and Cafe

Crispy pork belly with honey soy glaze, Dutch carrots, cauliflower and pea sprouts with carrot puree. $20, for lovers of pork belly.

Biscoff Freakshake and duo of Karrage Bao with cabbage, house-made pickled onion, carrot, mayo and siagon, $15, something different.

Ortem

The Veggie Garden, green pea fritters with assorted baby veges, lemon ricotta-zucchini flower, tangy beetroot relish and basil pesto. $20 vegetarian delight.

Potters Boutique Hotel

Tempura Chicken, chicken tenders with mesclun, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, Spanish onion, bean sprouts with a dressing of mango, lime, banana and poppy seed. $20, generous serving, quiet setting.

Sofra Turkish Cuisine

Kiymali Borek, mild spiced beef, onion and herbs in crispy filo pastry, served with garlic yoghurt and house tomato sauce (GF option available). $16 excellent value, delicious with the full-bodied house red.

Club Glenvale

Carnival Salad, consists of honey chicken atop noodle and spring salad with a side dish of honey and lime dressing. Accompanied by floral prawn crackers. $20 light with generous portions. Membership to the club is required or get signed in.
