As I entered Berry's Treat factory, I probably had the same excitement as Charlie when he entered Mr. Wonka's chocolate factory. While Mr. Wonka's factory was surely much more about chocolate making and is beyond any comparison, treat factory is so much like the shop at the end a factory tour displaying countless different shapes and sizes of treats and goodies much to everyone's amazement.
Located in a solemn lane in Berry, a quaint NSW town, this factory is a sure must visit for Berry goers & should be on top of the list for food lovers. The selection is sure to capture most types of food lovers. Their famous rocky road for starters, the chocolates and lollies in eye catching colours and shapes or even cappuccino coffee beans coated with chocolate for coffee lovers.
As I pondered over my shopping basket that was filling rapidly, I noticed the jams and chutneys. Whisky or Brandy marmalade for spirit lovers or Aubergine & Garlic Chutney for the adventurous. The lemon butter preserve is one of their best sellers. We settled for a lime aioli that combined the zestiness of lime with the creaminess of aioli and was a true winner.
There is a wide selection on salts and dukkas, exotic teas and tea cups, vinegars and dressings and beautifully packed gourmet gift hampers. I found the prices very reasonable enabling the avid foodie to pack more into their basket.
