Proprietor, Leanne Macklin has been an owner and manager of cafes and small businesses since age 16 so she is very conversant with customer requirements and quality of service. Leanne is also owner of Fraser Coast Catering, which provides catering for large and small functions such as corporate lunches, weddings, gala performances, buffet dinners, set menus of two and three courses, canapé style dining, birthday parties etc. A liquor licence has recently been secured and small sized private parties can be held on site. Leanne is more than happy to accommodate your specific needs and dietary requirements for any function.

In conjunction with Fraser Coast Training Employment Support Service Inc. (TESS), Fraser Coast Catering is providing training for students to complete Certificate II in Hospitality. Students not only learn cooking techniques, they are also trained in customer contact, how to write a customer's order, how to set up for an event or party, use of the cash register and change re-count, barista training and alcoholic beverage techniques.

Mural of a train painted on the inside wall of TRAX Cafe

The name TRAX is synonymous with the railway tracks running along Kent Street outside her business, which are still used to shunt locomotives to and from Maryborough's Downer EDI Rail. Two walls inside the café are painted with murals; one a railway track and the other a locomotive, which appears to be coming out of the wall towards you.

Tables and chairs are set in and outside the café along with two seatings set up in the bay windows of the café, which give a lovely feeling of private dining.

All food is homemade and prepared daily on the property. Open from Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.00pm, other functions can be booked on an individual basis. Give Leanne a call for your next function.
