GYSO = Get Your Stomp On!

Catching them first in April 2011, I've enjoyed their dirty blues / rock sound as often as I possibly can. With sets at the recent Grotto Fest, Dead of Winter Festival and Grass Roots Music Festival, Transvaal Diamond Syndicate, aka TDS, have also toured up and down the east coast of Australia with an impressive number of gigs over four months. In amongst recent news, they have just wrapped filming the music video for Blackwater and they have been included in the line-up for 2013 Australian Blues Music Festival in Goulburn in February.

During a live set, frontman Christian Tryhorn works his way through a number of guitars, including playing slide guitar, and a jam session including the audience wraps up the performance, and the energy from this group is infectious. It's hard for me to pick a favourite track or a favourite gig I've been to.

With a five-track release Diamonds and Dust in 2010, and a seven-track release Sins of the Blessed in 2011, you can also take their sound home with you. You're sure to find TDS playing a gig soon. Like Transvaal Diamond Syndicate on Facebook here and listen to their music here. GYSO.
