Come along to the Trains, Trains and More Trains Open Day on 28th May, 2017 from 10 am to 2 pm to learn more about this trusty work horse, and other old trains on site.
At the South West Rail and Heritage Centre, they love trains and have old trains and carriages on display and are continually putting a lot of effort into restoring them.

One of the connections with the South West timber industry, the shunting engine "Jardee" was used to transfer wagons between the Jardee mill (about 6kms south of Manjimup) and the government railway siding.
Bring your kids to the SWRHC on 28th May for the unveiling of the "magic ingredient" at 11 am - this surprise will prove to be great fun for adults and kids alike.
Trains, Trains and More Trains will give you the opportunity of taking some guided tours behind the scenes, with expert commentaries about some of the rolling stock that they have on display.
As well as all this, there will also be:
The Boyanup Foundation Blacksmiths, who will be working in the forge
Blacksmith at work
The Preston River Old Machinery Group who will have some of their historic old machines chugging away
The South West Model Railway Group who will have their layout in full swing
The Capel Men's Shed who will have some of their interesting hand made goods on display.
Goods made by Capel Men's Shed
Carriages, wagons and other bits and pieces which are associated with trains

The South West Rail and Heritage Centre will be open from 10 am to 2 pm , and entry will be by gold coin donation.
There will be some light refreshments available from the Picnic Van, as well as a tasty sausage sizzle which is always a favourite.
This Open Day is being held in Boyanup, a country town which is just 18 kms south of the Town of Bunbury, so it is easily "do-able" in a day trip if you live in Perth, and much closer if you are in Mandurah or indeed Bunbury.

You can also find out more by visiting their website.
It should also be noted that while they will presumably have one or more model railways on display, the one depicted in the video will most definitely NOT be there as it is actually video of MY model railway when it was exhibited at the AMRA Model Railway Exhibition at Claremont Showgrounds in Perth back in 2010. Incidentally, the AMRA Model Railway Exhibition will be on again this June long weekend, 3, 4, and 5th June, well worth a visit, and no, my "Boyanup" layout won't be there this year, but maybe some time in the future it will get another outing.....
That said, do go and enjoy South West Rail and Heritage Centre's event :)
