Keep reading to see where you can find the top op shop
I put together a list of the many treasures to be found in op shops before and now I can add another to the lists to include Lifeline Townsville. This shop has a great selection of everything a person could want to furnish a house, fill the wardrobe and stock a library.
It's a great place for a one stop shop for all things a person could need for a dime store bargain and anybody in need of some vintage finds or furniture on the cheap should definitely take the time to pop in and see for yourself.
The store is broken into two sections. One side is filled with couches, cabinets and cupboards. Here you can walk through comfortably exploring Lifelines selection of furniture. There are also some electronics, however you will to take your chance with most of those. Most are sold 'as is' so you will want to be careful when making a selection. There is, of course, the chance to find an old school Nintendo or Game Boy.
Walking through to the other side will uncover a wide choice of men's and women's clothes. There are tons of clothing racks to look through so be sure to pop in with time to spare. Also, on the same side is a vast range of second hand jewellery to match any finds you encounter on the fashion racks.
But what really sold me on this place is the upstairs mezzanine that holds hundreds of second hands books, magazines and vinyl records. Another treasure upstairs are some very interesting dress outfits from past decades. These form party clothes would be great for any costume party or if you are feeling especially adventurous even an everyday outfit.
So I suggest popping into the Townsville Lifeline along Garbutt St to see for yourself the excellent finds to be discovered. If you know any other great second hand stores in Townsville be sure to leave a comment below.
